Introduction
In a supply chain often an issue arises where multiple applications provide some of the information. But it is hard for applications to share information between themselves.
Applications further down the supply chain cannot see information further up the supply chain.
The CargoActivity API is a platform created for sharing information between many different applications.
The core elements are profiles and events. A profile represents an entity. For example shipment 77 could be stored in a profile. Events represent data elements in a profile. For example if shipment 77 was measured for weight and volume then we could store an event with data {weight: 150KG, volume: 3m²} inside the profile for shipment 77.
